I'm leaving for Paris in a few hours. I still have to finish packing my bag. I went to a salsa class this evening (I'm taking salsa with Tony Boutros of easysalsa.com). I really like this group of dancers and had a great time tonight, even if the pattern we were learning proved especially tough on my already challenged motor skills. Afterwards I went to a party hosted by Cathy and Pascal, a French couple I met at another party a few weeks ago. Cathy and Pascal are relatively new to Vancouver, and yet they have already managed to befriend what feels like the entire francophone population of the city. I don't know many French people living out here, but hanging out with their friends at their cozy apartment in the West End tonight, eating couscous with pot-au-feu, drinking their wine (actually, I had one of their guests' Belgian beer), I felt like I was already in France.
Earlier this afternoon I sent off JoAnn Mulhern's print order from Anna and Kris wedding to the photo lab. For her 8x10 enlargement, JoAnn chose this great shot of Kris and Anna walking to the reception:

Looks great Fabrice. Have fun in France looking forward to the photos. I am off to Mexico tomorrow back in two weeks. Then I'm going to teach and direct at UVic in the New Year. Have a great Christmas. Keep up the good work. Fran Gebhard

Thanks you two. Fran, I hope you're having a wonderful time in Mexico and that you have a rewarding season of teaching and directing out on the Island. Rach, it's so great to hear from you! I hope the big firm hasn't swallowed you whole and that you are nicely setup over there. Maybe Yom will have us over for crepes during the holidays, and yes, I'd love to visit you in NYC some time.
Thanks for the comments (my first blog comments ever... woohoo!).
Biz,
Fabrice

Hi Fab,
Eve and I just checked out your blog after Rache told us how great it was. Nice photos, especially the windy day one. We're also enjoying our last days in Paris. We've had some romantic bonding with "La Poste" sending stuff back to Van, where we hope to see you soon.
We'll pass on the hint about the crêpes.
Bisous, bisous
Sarah et Eve
