Paris Weekend (Part II)
At Claire's place, I got an email from Phoebe telling me she was driving in from the Netherlands and would arrive in Paris with her friends Brad and Kaitlin later that evening. We met under the Tour Eiffel and had fresh croissants for breakfast in Le Jardin du Luxembourg. This kid walked by in a funky hat. His dad pronounced that it was made of reindeer leather.
We spent all of Saturday exploring the city. In the evening we saw "Doisneau-Paris en Liberté" a photo exhibit at l'Hotel de Ville celebrating the work of famous French photographer Robert Doisneau. It was awesome.
The opera was sold out on Saturday night, but we saw the Cour Carée du Louvre illuminated, and we mingled with the crowds in front of the window displays at the Galeries Lafayette.

The rental car was home base for a couple of days. I parked it just behind the Louvre, not far from my grandmother's place across le Pont des Arts. It was chilly at night...
