Le Vieux Montreal

Yesterday I went for a walk through Old Montreal.

I liked its cobblestone streets.

Jessica was my tour guide. 

She told me this vault holds all of the bank's money. Raised above ground level, the outer part is filled with water to deter would-be-thieves (made me think of The Score, a great heist flick with a stellar cast filmed in Montreal).

We checked out La Basilique Notre-Dame.

And here, Montreal does New York.

We walked through the Centre de Commerce Mondiale de Montreal.

I have no idea what this building is, but it looked...

...suspicious.

We walked back along St Denis.

Night fell, and we checked out the downtown lights.

I was in Vieux Montreal last weekend. You can see some of my photos on my facebook page. I know you were there a week before me but it was exactly as you left it, sunny skyies included.
I might see you around New Years when I am next on the West side of this huge country!
