On Saturday I went hiking with Ron, Steph and Steve to Petgill Lake, a 5 hour round-trip walk from the parking lot at Murrin Provincial Park on the road to Squamish. As usual, Mackenzie came too.
We climbed the bluffs overlooking the highway before reaching the first of several gullies.
A couple of hours later we reached the lake and stopped for lunch before walking a few hundred meters to a viewpoint looking out over Howe Sound.
As the sun set, we climbed back down the mountain. Everyone went home to shower and change into fresh clothes, then we met up for dinner and saw the new Coen Brothers film "No Country for Old Men." Great day!
