Carmen closed at Vancouver Opera last night. What an amazing show! I'm glad to have made my opera debut with such a fantastic company. I'm posting some photos I took backstage.
Rini is amazing. She's performed Carmen all over the world, so the character is like a second skin. Her dressing room was just down the hall from mine.
Downstairs in the basement of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the chorus gets ready.
Offstage right.
Easy reading.
Maestro Antony Walker at intermission.
Daniel.
Me.
Linda.
Chris Garcia, in the VO chorus for over 30 years.
Act 4, with a few minutes to go...

Oui, vraiment super, ces photos. La première, les coulisses, m'évoque un bureau de chef de gare...

Fabrice~ Merci,
You take me back to one of my most precious worlds with these shots- remind me to show you some from The Merry Widow- 1985 (!). So very glad you've had the rush of Opera on stage- nothing in my experience comes close.
Bravo!
Jill (soprano)
