A couple of days ago, I got off the train in Chicago -- first stop on my way to Florida. (follow the link below for more... click on the photos to enlarge!)
As it happened, Leonard Cohen was also in town...
The Chicago Theatre was just around the corner from our hotel -- we found tickets and stayed an extra night for what turned out to be an amazing sold-out show (standing ovations after nearly every song).
We had breakfast at Orange...
and walked through the streets.
We passed the Lincoln Conservatory...
...and wandered through the park.
Night fell and we walked along the river.
The air was warm and the tulips were out.
The water had just started flowing at Jaume Plensa's Crown Fountain in Millenium Park.
We went up the Ferris wheel at Navy Pier...
...and headed back to the hotel. Next stop: Washington DC.
